Come to God.

Come to the Father, come to the Son, come to the Spirit.

Come one and all, together as companions,

together as God’s beloved, together in worship.

Come and worship

a God who is always with us, a God who will never leave us,

a God who is a constant in all our lives.

Come into worship, together as one.

One more step along the world I go,

From the old things to the new,

Keep me travelling along with You.

And it's from the old I travel to the new,

Keep me travelling along with You.

Round the corners of the world I turn,

More and more about the world I learn.

All the new things that I see,

You'll be looking at along with me.

As I travel through the bad and good,

Keep me travelling the way I should.

Where I see no way to go,

You'll be telling me the way, I know.

Give me courage when the world is rough,

Keep me loving when the world is tough.

Leap and sing in all I do,

Keep me travelling along with You.

You are older than the world can be,

You are younger than the life in me.

Ever old and ever new,

Keep me travelling along with You.

Life-providing God, we gather to praise you.

All: Receive the humble praise we offer.

Lead-giving Christ, we gather to follow you.

All: Guide us in your ways in our worship.

Love-sharing Spirit, we gather to grow.

All: Nurture our faith this hour.

We say sorry to God

All:         May we find our way back to you, O God.

May we walk the path,

talk the story, believe the truth,

know the moment, find the purpose,

trust the word, forgive the sinner,

forgive ourselves, call to you,

follow your footsteps,

and love your people.

May we find our way back to you, O God,

leaving all that hurts behind,

all that makes us less

than you have called us to be,

all that dulls our living, trips us up.

May we find our way back to you, O God.

Almighty God, who forgives all who truly repent,

have mercy upon you, pardon and deliver you from all your sins, confirm and strengthen you in all goodness, and keep you in life eternal; through Jesus Christ our Lord.     Amen.

Reading from the Bible

Matthew 28.16-20

16The eleven disciples went to Galilee, to the mountain to which Jesus had directed them. 17When they saw him, they worshipped him; but some doubted. 18And Jesus came and said to them, ‘All authority in heaven and on earth has been given to me. 19Go therefore and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, 20and teaching them to obey everything that I have commanded you. And remember, I am with you always, to the end of the age.’

This is the word of the Lord.     All : Thanks be to God.

Time of Prayer

Holy God, faithful and unchanging: enlarge our minds with the knowledge of your truth, and draw us more deeply into the mystery of your love, that we may truly worship you,
Father, Son and Holy Spirit, one God, now and for ever.

All           Our Father in heaven, hallowed be your name,
your kingdom come, your will be done,
on earth as in heaven. Give us today our daily bread.
Forgive us our sins as we forgive those who sin against us.
Lead us not into temptation but deliver us from evil.
For the kingdom, the power,

and the glory are yours now and for ever. Amen.

Go forth and tell! O Church of God, awake!

God’s saving news to all the nations take:

Proclaim Christ Jesus, Saviour, Lord and King,

That all the world His worthy praise may sing.

Go forth and tell! God’s love embraces all;

He will in grace respond to all who call:

How shall they call if they have never heard

The gracious invitation of His word?

Go forth and tell where still the darkness lies,

In wealth or want, the sinner surely dies;

Give us, O Lord, concern of heart and mind,

A love like Yours, compassionate and kind.

Go forth and tell! The doors are open wide:

Share God’s good gifts – let no one be denied;

Live out your life as Christ your Lord shall choose,

Your ransomed powers for His sole glory use.

Go forth and tell! O church of God, arise!

Go in the strength which Christ your Lord supplies;

God till all nations His great name adore

And serve Him, Lord and King forever more.

God bless us as we go in hope together.

God bless us as we share the road together.

God bless us as we walk in trust together.

God bless us in his footsteps, in his fellowship,

through his faith in us.
